Wheat Seviyan Upma


wheat vermicelli - 2 1/2 cups
urad dal - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
finely chopped onions - 1/2 cup
green chillies chopped - 2
curry leaves - few
finely chopped carrots - 1/4 cup
green peas - 1/4 cup
lemon juice 1 tsp
oil - 1 1/2 tsp
salt - 1/4 tsp

Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a non stick pan and fry the
vermicelli till light brown in colour and keep
aside. heat the remaining oil in another pan and
put mustard seeds and urad dal. after they crackle
add onions,green chillies, curry leaves and fry
till they are soft . Add carrots, peas and fry for
two min more and add 1/4 cup water. cover and cook
till they are tender. Add vermicelli and 1/2 cup of
water. cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. add lemon
juice and salt and toss well. serve hot ..
