Poha Handwa



poha (beaten rice flakes) - 1 cup
low fat curds - 1/2 cup
grated white pumpkin - 1/2 cup
grated carrots - 1/2 cup
boiled green peas - 1/4 cup
green chillie-ginger paste - 1 tbsp
sugar - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
sesame seeds - 2 sp
oil - 4 tsp
salt - 1/4 tsp

Clean , wash and soak the poha in curds mixture
for half an hr. Then add all teh remaining
ingredients and mix well. Heat the oil in a pan
and add mustard seeds. whey they crackle remove
from fire and add to the poha mixture and mix well.
Heat a non stick pan and grease it lightly with oil.
pour a ladle of poha mixture on it and spread it
evenly to make a thick handwa of approx..4" diameter
cook on both sides over a medium flame using a little
oil. taking care not to burn it. repeat with remaining
mixture..serve hot.
